climate action & Funding

The North Highlands & Islands Climate Hub (us!) have very quickly put together this event to provide advice to community organisations throughout the Highlands & Islands on how they can prepare and include climate action meaningfully in their work, embedding it in their organisations and service delivery and include their intentions in funding applications. Our Project Manager Joan Lawrie and also Development Manager for Thurso Community Development Trust will lead a presentation on the simple actions that groups can include when looking to embed climate action in work and funding followed by a Q&A afterwards.

A recently opened large fund in Scotland has prompted this event to be put together quickly to support groups given the number of enquiries the Hub is currently receiving (if you know, you know) so the event will run through and focus on the Investing In Communities Fund but would be helpful to groups who are looking at other funding. It may be that your application has already been submitted and you are looking to do more around climate action so please still join us if you can. This is the first of a planned series of workshops and events the Hub aim to hold around funding and making applications.

Please complete the booking form below to be sent a Zoom link for the event. We would also encourage you to sign up as Member of the North Highlands & Islands Climate Hub to be notified of future events and activities.
