March/April Funding Finder

The funding finder for the March/April 2023 period is a little shorter due to the end of the financial year, however there are still plenty of interesting funds still open!

The Fore Summer 2023 Funding Round | 11th – 17th April 2023

Unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 are available to help charities (under 500k turnover) and social enterprises develop or become more sustainable. Registration for funding applications is open for one week ONLY from 12pm on Tuesday 11 April to 12pm on Monday 17 of April.

Scottish Action Fund | 7th June 2023

The FCC Scottish Action Fund provides grants of between £2,000 and £40,000 for projects eligible under Scottish Landfill Communities Fund (SLCF) including: Land Reclamation; Community Recycling; Public Amenities and Parks; Biodiversity; Historic Buildings.

Foundation Scotland – EON Rosehall Community Fund | 30th April

The Fund benefits the Community Council areas of Ardgay & District; Creich; and Lairg within the County of Sutherland.

Highlands and Islands Environment Foundation Grants | 15th May

Supports projects in the Scottish highlands and islands which fit into one of the Foundation's areas of interest: Montane, Fresh water, Marine & coastal, and Forest & woodland.

The Scottish Hydro Electric Community Trust | 16th May

Not-for-profit community projects can apply for up to 50% of the costs of an electricity connection within the Scottish Hydro-Electric Distribution area, particularly those in rural areas.

Kilbraur Windfarm Community Benefit Trust | 26th May

Supports most types of charitable activity through small community organisations that benefits people living in the Kilbraur area of Brora, Golspie and Rogart Community Council areas.

Faith in Community Scotland – Greener Spaces, Fairer Places | Ongoing

Grants of up to £500 are available to local faith groups and other related organisations for projects that address poverty and climate change in communities across Scotland.

D’Oyly Carte Chartiable Trust | 7th June

Grants ranging from £500 to £6,000 are available to registered charities working in the UK in the areas of advancement of the arts, health and medical welfare, and improvement or protection of the environment.

Facility for Investment Ready Nature in Scotland (FIRNS) | Ongoing

Grants of up to £120,000 are available for Scotland-based environmental organisations, community groups, land owners and farmers to help grow their nature projects.

Great Big Green Week – Children and Young People Climate Fund | 13th April

Grants of between £300 and £800 are available for charities, community and voluntary groups, and other not-for-profit organisations across the United Kingdom to organise child and youth-focused local events, activities, and festivals as part of the Great Big Green Week 2023.

Ocado Foundation for Good | 31st December

Grants of up to £1,000 are available for registered charities, community interest companies, local authorities and other organisations to support skills development or sustainability projects that bring benefit to communities across the UK.

Climate Fringe Festival | 9th April

Grants of up to £500 are available for not-for-profit community groups and organisations across Scotland to host climate, nature, and sustainability events as part of the Climate Fringe Festival.

Patagonia International Environmental Grants | 31st May

Grants between US$5,000 and US$15,000 are available to small grassroots activist environmental organisations in the UK and Ireland that are working to protect local habitats and frontline communities through bold, original actions.

Grants of up to £50,000 are available to support registered charities that are concerned with the preservation of wildlife and the environment.

National Lottery Community Fund – Climate Action Fund: Energy and Climate | Ongoing

Grants of £500,000 to £1.5 million over two to five years are available to local not-for-profit groups and partnerships for community-driven projects which address climate change while tackling energy challenges across the UK.
