British Ecological Society – Outreach Grants | 15th March 2023

Grants are available to promote and engage the public with the science of ecology. They will

support projects that:

·        increase public understanding of, and engagement with, ecology

·        stimulate discussion about ecology and its implications for society

·        inspire and enthuse people of all ages about the science of ecology, especially those not previously interested

·        develop skills in communicating the science of ecology

Transport Scotland – Active Travel Funding | Ongoing

Grants from £10,000 to £25,000 are available to registered charities in the UK working in the areas of arts and heritage, education, environment, health, or social and economic disadvantage.

UnLtd – Awards for Social Entrepreneurs | 31st March 2023

Funding of up to £18,000 and specialist support are available for UK social entrepreneurs to help them develop as social leaders, and to start up or grow their idea for a social venture.

Circular Economy Investment Fund | Ongoing

Funding up to £1,000,000 for businesses and third sector organisations to undertake projects that aim to improve the scale, range and depth of resource efficiency work and reduce carbon output in Scotland.

Social Enterprise Net Zero Transition Fund | Ongoing

Loans from £10,000 to £1.5 million, with a typical fixed interest rate of 3% and are available to social enterprises and the wider third sector in Scotland to support their transition to carbon net zero.

Tesco Community Grants | Ongoing

Grants up to £1,500 are available to non-profit making, constituted groups and organisations for local good causes that focus on supporting children and families in the UK.

Scotmid Co-operative – Community Connect Initiative | 2nd March 2023

Grants up to £15,000 are available to charities and community groups for projects and initiatives that will benefit communities close to Scotmid stores around Scotland.

CARES – Net Zero Community Buildings Fund | Ongoing

Grants up to £80,000 are available for community groups in Scotland to decarbonise community buildings.

Grants of between £10,001 and £150,000 for up to three years are available to voluntary and community organisations in Scotland for projects in local communities that bring real improvement to the places where people live and to the wellbeing of those most in need.

Grants are available to enable organisations in the UK to develop and promote sustainable, low-carbon alternatives to the current consumerist and growth-based paradigm.

Grants up to £2,500 are available to UK-based marine conservation charities and not-for-profit organisations for projects that address specific marine conservation areas.

Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations to help empower more diverse and inclusive workforces and communities, build inclusive economic growth and financial literacy, and advance climate innovation and action.

Aviva Community Fund – Crowdfunding Required | Ongoing

Grants up to £50,000 are available for not-for-profit organisations in the UK who can raise their initial funding through a crowdfunding campaign for projects that address Aviva’s current themes of climate champions and financial empowerment.

The National Lottery Community Fund – Climate Action Fund | Ongoing

Grants of up to £1.5 million over two to five years are available for community-led partnerships in the UK to make changes in their community that they believe will have the biggest impact on climate change.

John Ellerman Foundation | Ongoing

Grants from £10,000 are available for charities in the UK whose work in the Foundation's priority areas of arts, environment or social action has impact across the whole of the UK.

Rhododendron Trust | Ongoing

Grants between £500 and £1,500 are available to small UK registered charities for social welfare and humanitarian projects in the UK (and the developing world). Cultural and wildlife projects can also be funded.

Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available for organisations in Scotland to support the creation, maintenance and improvement of urban green spaces

Paths for All – Smarter Choices, Smarter Places | Ongoing

Match-funded grants up to £50,000 are available to public, third and community sector organisations for projects that encourage people to change their everyday travel behaviours to cut Scotland's carbon emissions, improve air quality and tackle health inequalities.

Sustain UK | 10th February 2023

New Food for the Planet grants to support communities to take local action or run campaigns to make food in their area better for people and planet. Apply for up to £5K by 10 February.

Co-op Foundation – Carbon Innovation Fund | Ongoing

Grants of £75,000 to £200,000 are available to organisations working to reduce reliance on soy-based animal or fish feed and/or synthetic fertilisers.

Scottish Education and Action For Development (SEAD) Fund | Ongoing

SEAD provides small grants for individuals or groups for positive action, and campaigning. Grants are typically £100 - £250.

They are particularly interested in applications that focus campaign activity on the following areas: women’s rights, young people and their global rights, climate justice, inequality, poverty and health justice.

Local Energy Scotland – Community Heat Development Programme | Ongoing

The programme can support a range of ideas from local communities, which may include communal heating systems where homes share a source of heat, as well as initiatives that utilise community action to make it easier to install individual heating systems. SRDP – Agri-Environment Climate Scheme | 24th March 2023

The Agri-Environment Climate Scheme promotes land management practices which protect and enhance Scotland’s magnificent natural heritage, improve water quality, manage flood risk and mitigate and adapt to climate change. It will also help to improve public access and preserve historic sites.
