Have your Say Highland

The Highland Council has the responsibility of delivering various funding programmes to enable community-led local action.  This allows organisations to apply for funding to deliver projects that respond to the needs of their local area to bring about positive change.

But they can't fund everything, and know demand for these funds is always more than the funding available.

By piloting this new community engagement platform, this is your chance to tell us what you consider the funding priorities to be for your area. Your views will be used to help inform decisions taken to award funding at local level.

The Have your Say Highland Community Engagement tool has two methods to submit your views. The funding priorities survey takes approx 10 minutes to complete and allows you to chance to let the Highland Council know where you think funding should be allocated in your area. The survey guides you through the four themes of People, Place, Economy and Environment and asks you to prioritise the funding categories that you consider your area to be in most need of additional investment. You will also have an opportunity to say what types of development or schemes you would fund to bring about positive change for each of the themes. The survey is open until 31st August 2022. Use this link to visit the website and select your area to get the correct survey.

The ideas board allows you share specific projects you’d like to see happen which will allow the Highland Council to develop a wish list of projects for your area. This could be an existing project, a project already in development or a completely new idea. The ideas board is public meaning you’ll be able to see other suggestions and you can share your support for suggestions already posted through comments and ‘likes’.

If you’re a community group who would like to do some engagement in person, hard copies of the survey are available and any in person events are encouraged to gather more data. For hard copies of the survey, please email: communityregenerationfund@highland.gov.uk

Please note that this survey does not relate to Highland Council core service funding e.g. roads repair
